Ok, so it’s only the end of Journalism Year 1 - but that’s a pretty big deal. 4 months without Uni, what will I do? How will I do it?
Who knows?
Well, I do really, i need a job, hopefully down here in Soton, tho I can get one when I’m at home. But I would MUCH rather stay here.
I’m hopefully getting a job in retail, but anything goes really - that said i dont really want to be back in the kitchen, cooking was fine, but they occassionally made me do the washing up - which i really dont wanna do again!!
I’ll be updating regularily throughout summer - so keep coming back!!

A big few weeks for the Solent Journos - many assignments!!
Done 2 out of 6 post easter hand ins, and essay on PR and an essay on Censorship. Up next is my portfolio and evaluation, alongside a Dreamweaver ‘creation’ and a blog assignment (dont worry, not this blog.)
Not to mention my group’s TV assignment package!
On top of that, we’ve had to do our option selections for next year. I’ve gone for print and as my ‘option’ gone for sports reporting as first choice (the back up choice being PR or Fame/Celebrity.) I handed it in as early as possible, so hopefully I will definatley get my first choice.
Outside of Uni, I am busy job hunting - anywhere will do, I just need to be able to pay rent over the summer…
Off to watch Barca v Chelsea, to drown the sorrows of being a Newcastle fan.

Sorry, long time; no post! Will strive to do better!
Been to the SRA (Student Radio Association - follow them on Twitter) conference in Leeds over the last few days with some of the peeps from Sin Radio. It was truely epic.
Monday to Wednesday was pretty much non-stop action. It started on Monday morning at 5.45 bording the mini bus to Leeds. A secven hour trek up the motorways of Britain landed us in Leeds.
The schedule was jam packed with experts from the radio industry, including Radio 1 star DJ: Steve Lamacq!
There were also talks from James Cridland who sung the praises of the likes of twitter and so forth, he really seemed to know what was what in the world of radio and media and various people from both BBC Radio and Commercial Radio. The info on offer was a range of how to improve the student radio stations we all represented (i’m happy to say that Sin had one of the biggest turnouts) and how to get a job in the radio proffession after leaving university.
All in all the conference itself was a brilliant experience, and the socialising the spare time was also excellent! Sin preformed relatively well in the infamous SRA Pub Quiz - though I was dissapointed in our preformance in the sports round.
It was also brilliant spending time with the Sin guys and gals, it really helped me get to know them better, and we have had loads of ideas for the future of Sin… more to be revealed soon!

Hey Y’all
Thought I’d remind people that COMIC RELIEF is here!!!
I’ll be a Uni at the L.O.L. event - and obviously there will be some funny shizzle on TV that night (and The Apprentice Does Comic relief is on tonight!)
Covering a range of topics that wouldn’t look out of place on either Jeremy Kyle’s trash TV, or Andrew Marr’s weekly delve into the weeks politics, Lily Allen has tackled seeming every subject that affects the people of Britain.
Boasting topics, such as drug use (Everybody’s Doing It) and a dodgy sex life (It’s Not Fair) up to and including an attack on George W. Bush (F*** You) It’s Not Me, It’s You is a cleverly built, witty look at life today. Granted, some of the themes of the album are perhaps a little highbrow for your average twenty three year old girl (How many really care about Dubya’s policies?), but the album stands up well as a follow up to Alright, Still continuing Allen’s almost Alex Turner-esque social commentary, full of the small parts of life that create a link between her and her following. It is hard to picture Madonna being made “Beans on toast, and a nice cup of tea” (Chinese) by her boyfriend.
Allen has cornered the market of the streetwise girl next door/pop princess, with rivals such as Kate Nash falling by the wayside. Due to her generally high profile the public know that she has been involved in drugs, had a string of high profile relationships and even suffered a miscarriage. However, there is a general agreement that Allen has begun to grow up and, with her, her music has matured. It’s not me, It’s You is a excellent follow up to her début Alright, Still, certainly establishing Allen in her own right and is the perfect platform for her to become one of the major success stories of the decade.

Long time without blogging… sorry!
Got reminded by a mate about this blog - and thought I ought to get back to updating it. [Apparently people cant comment on it - will look into that!]
Played competitive football for the first time in about 3 years today and it didn’t go too badly, though I was clearly lacking in any sort of fitness! It was fun - I’d forgotten about how much I enjoyed the game.
Went to Ikea yesterday and got a CD/DVD rack - it’s rather cool, even if I say so myself.
Sorry for the relativley short post - I have to go and prepare for tonight’s events!

Long time, no blog!
How have you people survived??
It has been a weekend of shake downs and punch up, drinking and travelling, but all in all, rather good.
Checked out a panto which some of my mates were involved with in various capacities (review to follow) and went down the pub and had a jolly good knees up with them. I duely arrived back at my Uni house yesterday to a lot of commotion (i will spare you the details) but it was sorted eventually. Honestly, I leave them for 3 days and it all goes to pot!
Not overly much to say apart from that - don’t want to do too much tonight, early(ish) start in the morning. So I will say Ta ta and find an interesting pic or vid for you to enjoy.

Dunno what really to say today. Feel I ought to say summat, just so I’ve written something. Had a very unproductive day - though I did pick up a few books, including two Stephen Fry books. Enjoyed one of the others I’ve read, will probably review it soon. Not much else to say, went for a long walk in the rapidly melting snow and sat at home with the housemates watching telly and so on.
Here is a lovely little link - some random software, the link does it all.
And…
A bit i enjoyed from some random episode of mock the week.
